The Challenge

University athletic programs generate large amounts of information, including athlete records, team achievements, historical statistics, media assets, and event coverage.

The challenge is ensuring that information remains accurate, accessible, and organized while supporting ongoing communications and game-day operations across multiple varsity programs.

My Role

As part of the Victors Internship Program, I support communications, research, and operational initiatives across Michigan Athletics.

  • Conducting historical and statistical research

  • Maintaining athlete and team records

  • Supporting content development and storytelling

My Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting with media asset organization

  • Contributing to game-day communications and operations

Working within Michigan Athletics has strengthened my ability to manage complex information, support cross-functional teams, and communicate insights effectively across multiple stakeholders.

Through historical research, content development, and operational support, I have learned the importance of building reliable systems for organizing information and ensuring accuracy at scale.

This experience has reinforced my interest in solving problems that sit at the intersection of data, operations, and user experience. It has also shown me how effective communication depends not only on compelling storytelling, but on the quality and accessibility of the information behind it.
